Nominations Open for Council Elections

The Professional and Scientific Council serves as a resource and an advocate for all P&S employees, and you can represent your fellow P&S employees as a council member! Nominations for the 2024 election will be taken through March 15. You can nominate yourself or a Professional and Scientific colleague by completing the nomination form.

The Professional & Scientific (P&S) Council at Iowa State recently passed a motion to support the Board of Regents efforts to pursue a separate salary appropriations bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2025. The resolution and distribution list can be found here.

The Executive Council compiled a draft of P&S Council's strategic inititaves for 2020-21. They will be posted after being passed by a full council vote.

A two-phased implementation of the classification and compensation restructuring for Professional and Scientific employees has been approved and should conclude by May 31. The Professional and Scientific Council April Seminar Series event April 14 will feature Emma Houghton, Director of University Compensation and Classification, reviewing the implementation.
